Stupid Question

I am almost embarassed to ask this but what the heck! I wear sandals or go bearfeet all summer long, even at the barn. So needless to say, the bottom of feet are usually gross by the end of the day. I don't remember ever having an issue getting my feet clean in the past but lately, I scrub and scrub but I can't seem to get all the grime off. How do others keep the bottoms of their feet clean or maybe it's not an issue for other people. TIA.

I have a thing that's got a pumice stone on one half and stiff natural bristles on the other side that works really well for me... and keeps the callouses at bay. Also I'm a big fan of exfoliating scrubs. Between the two of them, my bare feet are looking pretty good... until I grime them all up again. It's a vicious cycle.

lol I just looked at the bottom of my own feet after reading this - I didn't realize how grimy they were So I guess this is usually not an issue for me

: I scrub them every night before bed. I shower at night, so that helps.

Wash them as best you can, then slather on some coconut oil. Whatever grime is left will come off, and then your feet will also be ultra-moisturized.

Not only do I have this issue, SO DO THE KIDS!!! Maybe even more than I do...This is what helps -- this naturalish nail brush I got at our natural market, pumice and/or foot file, scrub w/ raw honey and sugar and moisturizing w/ coconut oil.

I've been experimenting w/ some combo of all of those for some or all of us at different times. So far the kids are just soap/brush, but I'm trying a combo.

I think that feet get stained or something in the summertime- I noticed with DS that his feet smell clean and are clean, but still don't LOOK clean at the very bottom when he's been playing outside barefoot a lot.

I don't worry about it too much.
