My 2 yr old son has very bad eczema. It only comes on in the summertime. The eczema spots don't look that bad but he is constantly scratching and has scabs all over his arms, back, stomach, and legs. The topical medication he is on doesn't do anything and all the over the counter creams don't help, Aquifor, Elidel, Vanicream, Baby aveeno.....we are having to have him wear long sleeves and pants almost all the time, but if we are outside and it's 90 degrees we want him in cool clothing. We've cut out all his tags. We are having him tested for allergies in a few weeks but in the meantime does anyone recommend any cool clothing that keeps him from scratching? Do I just get 100% cotton clothes without any tags. I've seen the eczema clothing with the covered hands but it's expensive and I don't think he would wear it. He is very sensitive to touch and wouldn't like his hands covered. Thanks for the help.
