Anyone care to talk about what you do about these brown ugly spots? I am only 37 yrs old and I think I have had these for the last four years maybe. I have a dark brown mustache I call it that is so emarassing. Looks as if I have been drinking chocholate milk and forgot to wipe my mouth ;0( Is there anything I can do about them?

I believe you can get a topical bleach to help fade sun spots. You can also see a dermatologist and have them lasered off.
As far as the facial hair is concerned, same thing. You can buy a facial hair bleach, you can wax it, or see someone about having it removed via laser hair removal.

Well bleaching I know about but I was looking for something more natural ideas! The dark brown mustache isn't hair it is just brown in color like age spots.

Looking for answers, too! Not only do I have age spots all over my hands, I have a very noticeable dark area on my forehead that appeared with my last pregnancy and hasn't gone away.

My mother has had success with an Avon product, but I can't use it because of the odor. It's definitely not a natural type product, whatever it is.

My dh and I are getting them. I didn't think there was anything you can do for them.

I have them too. I want to use a cream on them, but it seems like the cream would have to be pretty harsh to take the color out of your skin.

Neither of these is natural, but I've had succes with both of them. The Olay product is widely available. The Lustra is a prescription product in the US, and is more expensive. I'm in the US, but I've ordered it from Canada, where it's over the counter and much cheaper.

Hope this helps. I feel your pain!

Not exactly the same thing, but I have a big melasma patch on my forehead (looks like a blotchy tan spot...usually caused by pregnancy or birth control hormones) and I've had *mild* success with lemon juice and sugar scrub.

I had some success with this product:

Again, it's not natural. And I think it made my acne worse, so I had to quit using it. Lots of women who post on makeupalley.com swear by it, though.

The good news is that it's only $15 and available at places such as Rite Aid. (You don't have to buy it online and pay shipping.)

I haven't even thought about trying it on my hands. That would be a good way to use up the jar!

What about an egg-white lemon juice mask? I just started those two days ago, and I can really see a difference in my skin tone already.

1TB egg white, 5 drops lemon juice. Whip the egg a bit with a fork, add lemon juice. Apply and sit for 20.

Rinse with COOL water. Tone with 1 Part ACV, 3 parts water.

I moisturize with Lily of the Desert Aloe that also has vit. e. All of those things help even skin tone, and none of them have made me break out.

If it is melasma it doesn't go away with delivery but it does fade with time. Keep using sunscreen.

I read somewhere (may have been here) that at least one person found that dry skin brushing the backs of their hands eliminated some of these spots. I don't suppose it could hurt to try.
