A08 Might help keep us together better in LWAB!

I hate the idea of a thread in LWAB thats 50 pages long and find yahoo confusing. I tried freecycle on yahoo and it's set up the same way.


What if every time we start a topic in LWAB we put a A08 in front of our title? that way we can keep track of our DD clubbers better. Then we won't have a billion topics in one thread. Since we'll be getting replies from others as well we can can put a A08 at the top of our replies so we can tell who's from our DDC.

I love the idea of keeping up with babies born so close to my son's age and mamas that I was pregnant with.

So what do you think?

It's an ellaroo me hip. I got a lot of use out of it with her. I can't wait for Memphis to get good head control so I can use it again.


I I'm glad you like the idea.
I didn't say it before but A is for April and 08 for our year.

i'll try to remember. i forgot how much i dislike yahoo groups until i joined ours. it's essentially the same as one long lwab post, with no separate threads for different topics. i find it really difficult to follow.

Not to be nit-picky, but in case your idea (which is a good one!) catches on, maybe it should be 408 instead of A08, which could be confused with August.

Do you think the mods would allow that? I know we're allowed to have one monthly thread, but it doesn't seem to be in the spirit of the forum to post topics that are "for us".

Not to mention, unless its a personal/chat/vent type thread, I wouldn't want to discourage anyone else from reading.

limette - are you getting the daily digests? I find those really hard to read, but with individual messages its pretty easy to follow. Especially if you have gmail, then all the topics become threaded for you, and its just like having the forum in your inbox

I don't think "408" would EXCLUDE anyone but help us identify our DDC members on that forum, right?

I think it is a great idea but I would check with the mods first as other MDC mamas might think it is excluding them from the thread...

Yep I got the idea from seeing people put the Canadian flag before their post.
Any one would be able to read and reply, it would just make our DDC members stick out better.

Ooh, maybe that'd be a sneakier/more subversive way to do it -- choose a hardly-ever-used smilie and put that before each post.

I don't think I've ever seen this (Paper-letter, the first one.) icon used. The only thing is I don't know if you could make it show up at the top of a post. We would have to pick one as an icon and one to put at the tops of our posts

I had a gmail account a long time Ago. I'm sure I'd have to start a new one. the only thing I'm not sure about is if I could switch which mail box the yahoo DDC stuff go's too. I'll have to give it a try.
