Sewing/crocheting/knitting mama's...

What is your turn around time? I feel like it takes me SO long to complete things! That has been my hesitation in launching my business full time. I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old, and I nanny another 3 year old, so during the day it's virtually impossible to sew/crochet. My dh works long hours and isn't really the biggest help with the kids when he is home...:

So anyway, how do you determine what is a fair turn around time? I got an order (from a friend, she totally understands I'm overwhelmed, that is the only reason I am not flipping out) for 3 soakers, 2 wool doublers and 6 cotton/hemp ones. It took me 2 weeks to finish, from when she placed her order. Is that reasonable??? I'm just worried that clients will get frustrated with how long it takes me! I would of course explain about how long I expected it to take, so there wouldn't be any surprises. But some times I can finish quickly, some days I can't work at all. Sigh. Help!

I think is it ok as long as you tell people up front that it will take that long.

Something that might help:
I try to sew whenever I can weather I have an order or not so that when someone does want things I have at least part of the order already made. This has helped me to be a little faster.

I know how it is though. I only have one and I have a hard time doing anything until after he goes down for the night and even then I an on the clock because after a couple of hours he wants me in bed with him for the night.
