Food-safe fabric

Thread Starter
Some friends and I are hoping to make some sandwich wraps for our kids for school in September. However, the pvc liners that can be found on commercial ones give us the willies. Someone suggested PUL, but that is also poly-based. What about hemp or bamboo cotton? It doesn't have to be wipeable if we can wash them safely, but we don't want nasties leaching out.

Has anyone any suggestions as to a food-safe alternative fabric please?

TIA

What about a pul outer with a hemp liner or something. It would still be leakproof, and could probably just be machine washed or hand washed to clean. That way nothing scary touches the food.
