and as we walk in I see a three year old girl with her shirt hiked up nursing her baby doll right in the doorway. They had just arrived, and he was apparently very hungry after the bike ride over.
The big mommies nursed their nurslings too.
There is hope for the world!

That's cute The recptionist at the doctor's office saw me nursing ds yesterday and said that after talking to me she thinks she wants to try nursing her 6 week old again--she had given up last week because she was drinking SO much....even though this woman says she can pump 8 oz in 15 minutes, so I don't see the problem lol. But yeah, I guess there is hope....

8oz in 15 minutes? Wow! I got less than half that.

Very cute, it's great to see kids who think of breastfeeding as normal. I breastfed all my baby dolls and my friends thought I was a weirdo.

My dd gives her baby a bottle because I WOH and dh is a SAHD, so she sees bottles more than breast (for ds). But they're all expressed breastmilk and she knows my breasts make the baby's food.

So don't totally despair when you see toddlers giving their babies a bottle. Could be my breastfed dd, giving expressed breastmilk to her little one!

Oh, yeah, my 3 year old will bring me her baby bottles, hold them up to my chest and tell me her babies need more "ni-ni milk."
