Organic cotton mattress vs wool?

Hi,
What do you think of a 100% organic cotton mattress for a kid? Will it hold up for many years? My baby is 2yr old now. I want it to last until teen years.Would you be worried about dust mites? Will they compact much more than wool?
Cotton ones, even with wool topper are much cheaper than 100% wool but I wonder if wool is worth the price. Thanks so much.

Yes, dust mites live in cotton and from what I've read wool isn't 100% dust mite resistant. From what I've read...natural latex is the way to go in preventing dust mites.

I don't know how wool or cotton will hold up. I know we have shredded latex pillow that keep their shape nice.
