orthondonist not changing gloves or washing hands

Hi,

I observed at my orthodontist that this occurred on several occasions. TWICE I had to ask him to wash his hands and put on gloves. I also mentioned this to the office manager and she looked at me funny and said that maybe I was confused

I decided to discontinue and did not go back. I paid up front and I do not want my money back.

I really want to take some action. I am somewhat concerned about character assassination as well as them having all my financial information, as I had to give that with the chart and payment.

Now, I am an RN and I know that pts are black balled in real life and characterized as hypochondriacs and mentally ill in records all the time (yes, sadly the public is unaware of this). Only one doctor can start this unfortunate change of events. That is why there are so many clinicians who should not be practicing because every one is afraid to stand up.

Is there any way to complain anonymously?

Any suggestions/ideas mama?

Oh, that is vile. I'm still shuddering thinking of all of the germs and nastiness passed back and forth--ew.

Could you file a complaint with the licensing board?

I am so concerned about my financial information and maybe an all of the sudden identity theft problem as a result of the complaint.

In the medical related fields, I have found that pt. confidentiality is lacking a great deal.
