At 32 years old I am finally in an apt with w/d hook ups and today I got both! My mom bought me a new awesome washer and gave me her DH's dryer (they use hers)! I am thrilled to be able to wash at home now! I think she was getting sick of my being there ALL DAY every 2 weeks or so doing laundry in her non-baby proofed house with 2 very full of life kids They were delivered today and I'm actually excited to be doing laundry!

hehehe Congrats! I remember how 'grown up' I felt when I bought my first washer & dryer lol... sad isn't it? Then after a while I didn't feel grown up anymore.. just old (man do boys manufacture some dirty laundry in their closets or WHAT?!?!) Enjoy the convenience of being able to do it at home

Congrats! I know I take luxuries like that for granted, it's nice to see someone excited about it.

Enjoy! We got our first set last June when we bought the house (before that it was all coin-op in the building and prior to that a laundromat). We had been married 5 years at the time and frankly the novelty has not yet worn off! We love them still as much as the day they came. It is so nice to not have to go anywhere to wash clothes, but I am sure I don't need to tell you that.

Congrats!! I remember the feeling when DH and I finally got our first. I called a friend in tears of happiness saying, "Guess what I am doing right now? I'm doing laundry in my underwear because I CAN!!" LOL!

Last year we finally got a portable set and it was so exciting!!!!!!!! Like the pp I love that I don't have to get dressed Now I can wash cds at home. I still look forward to eventually having hookups though

I know how you feel. For the first 21 years after I left my parents home I was in apartments, then a condo (with my hubby now), and had to use a laundry room. What a nuisance!

Then we bought a house and were able to FINALLY have our very own washer and dryer! What a joy laundry has been since then! I am serious. I actually like doing laundry now.

So, I really DO know how you feel. Good for you!!!
