Um...ahem...personal lubricant?

I know there has to be a more environmentally-friendly choice for personal lubricants out there. Any recommendations? A friend suggested jojoba oil, but my bottle says "external use only." I obviously don't want to use anything pertroleum based and KY (water-based?) bugs the crap out of me. I just want a plain, unscented lubricant...not something that "tingles and creates a warming sensation."

I've heard coconut oil is nice, but haven't tried it yet...

Coconut oil!!! It's wonderful! When we need lubricant it's what we use.

Yep! I read about it on here about a year ago and it is awesome!

I third the coconut oil. Only thing I'll use now.

Coconut oil, unless you're using latex condoms or diaphram. Any oil can break down latex, making the barrier unreliable.

I know that I purchased an all-natural, water based personal lubricant several years ago, but I've forgotten the brand. Maybe search around at www.drugstore.com and see what they have available? I like browsing that website, even if I purchase elsewhere, because it lets you read all the packaging information such as the full ingredient list.

Definately coconut oil. I thought that it was insane when I first read it here, but the stuff is awesome.

If you need something that is latex-compatible, O My lubricants are great. Their Natural Lube (http://www.omyonline.com/files/pharmacy-natural.php) is nice, and the ingredient list is short and simple.

My husband and I just got the Firefly Organic Lubricant. It's not bad! It does last longer (as it claims) and is better for you than Astroglide but it feels somewhat "thicker" to us... can't say whether or not we love it yet, but it could be worth a shot

Maybe it was Liquid Silk? I used that for dryness after my son was born and I realized that KY feeds yeasties.

Coconut oil is seriously better than any commercial product. Great stuff.

Olive oil is fantastic.

Hands down COCONUT OIL....I am getting of the age where lubricant is almost always a necessity , and it is the best thing...

Please creme is wonderful, but the Please gel is better if you need long term lubrication.
Both are glycerin free.

Mountain Rose Herbs makes a "Gentle Oil" and one of the main ingredients is coconut oil.

I thought that coconut oil was like a paste, almost a solid??? Am I thinking of the wrong thing?

With a little body heat, it warms right up and liquefies. DH and I both love coconut oil!
