It solidifies and liquifies pretty easily. We kept a jar on the kitchen counter and it would be funny to wake up in the morning before we turned the heat back on and see this jar of solid oil, and then melt as the day went on, only to solidify again.

so happy to have found this thread. As ky burns me and haven't tried anything else out of fear!! Now where would one buy coconut oil?

We have been using coconut oil for a while now and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Best stuff ever! Will never go back to anything else.

I get it at Sprout's or Whole Foods. It can be found at most health food stores I'm sure.

I get a gallon from Mountain Rose. I know that other's here have a preferred brand, but I split the gallon with a relative and for $14 it ain't a bad deal. Now that it's summer, my CCO is mostly liquid all the time anyway. During the winter it was solid, but nothing that couldn't be easily melted.

I think many of the health properties of CCO really lend itself well to being a personal lube.
