I'm so excited. I'm writing my first novel. I started over 4 years ago, but with the birth of babies, well, you know...and then it happened. I got the 'call' about a month ago and I've been writing every day, just about, since. I HAVE to write this book...ever have that feeling? Like THIS is the story that has to be written before any other story? This is that book. I'd love to be done with my first draft by the end of the summer and I really think I have a good shot at making this goal!
Any tips/hints/advice from seasoned writers on how to do the following:
* stay on target
* find a critique group
* stop over editing and just write!
* keep it all together (the notes, the post-it's, the computer files)
* books on the 'how to' if those are good to use.
I've got the confidence, the ideas, the time (with two little ones, ha!) and the drive...just want to make sure I do this right.
Thanks in advance for any advice
