I love this song - reminds me of college years. But for a wedding? Isn't it "broke my heart, now I'm aching for you"?

Thanks for all of the fantastic suggestions! I've added quite a few of these to our play list.

My parents had "You're My Home" by Billy Joel at their wedding as their special song. If DH and I had had a traditional wedding, I might have wanted to follow in their footsteps. It is probably my favorite love song.

Extraordinary - Suicide Machines
The Luckiest - Ben Folds

Also, the Mr. T Experience has some cute punky songs, if you're into that. I just can't think of titles off of the top of my head.

I recently started listening to Adele. She does a beautiful cover of "To make you feel my love" by Garth Brooks (and I hate country music).

It brought tears to my eyes.

'K... I have some very random musical tastes...

"Some Good Thing" by the Wailin' Jennys (upbeat folk song... I love that it's a forever-love song that's not slow)

"The Luckiest" by Ben Folds (danced to this at our wedding... I would have lobbied for "Some Good Thing," but like I said, that's a pretty quick-tempo kind of song)

All my iTunes music is in Alaska on a server (due to computer crash), so I can't go through my list... this is all I can think of!

We danced to "Lets Take a Trip Together" by Morphine (from Cure for Pain) and "Don't Talk" by The Beach Boys (from Pet Sounds). Both non-traditional and very sweet. Others that we had..

My Best Friend by Queen <-- Cake Cutting Song
Let's Fall In Love - It was the song from Tank Girl
It's A Beautiful World covered by The Ramones
Flim by Aphex Twin <-- I walked down the Aisle to this one
Mother Nature's Son by The Beatles <-- Played after we kissed

ETA: I just saw Wall-E and La Vie En Rose was in it sung by Louis Armstrong. I had never heard that version before, it was beautiful!

We danced to Something in the Way she Moves by James Taylor

Also played:

Our love is here to stay (ella fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong)
Stars fell on Alabama (also ella and louis)

I think all three are non traditional yet delightfully suited for weddings

I just played a wedding last month where the bride picked non-classical pieces for our string quartet to play. We played At Last by Etta James, Yellow by Cold Play, I Need You by LeAnne Rimes, and Bittersweet Symphony by The Rolling Stones.

All of the arrangements worked out well! I especially loved playing At Last.
