Cleaning Crocs or Sandals - Page 2

I wear Holey Soles when I'm at work and I love them! I find that they have better, longer lasting grip.

I work at a pool, so I just hose them off at the end of the night, and they are good to go.

You can also just wear them in the shower from time to time. They come out all squeaky clean.

I have crocs and a knockoff called shakas, and I put them all in the washer.

Holey Soles are made of the same substance as Crocs, so I'm sure the washing machine would work fine. To me it seems like overkill: I wonder if all that washing would maybe dry them out or cause them to wear out faster? I don't really know, but lots of others here wash them that way with good success. I am sure they would come out just fine and really clean.

Dr. Bronners is awesome for cleaning grime from sandals.

The dishwasher works great for crocs, tevas, and keens, but the absolute best way to keep them stink free is to wear them in a swimming pool! I don't know (or want to know) what all is in that public pool water, but it definitely gets rid of any stink in my sandals! Oh, and FWIW, these are not new or seasonal sandals, I think I'm on summer three for my keens and dh (whom I love but wish would buy new sandals) has been wearing his for at least five years!

It's probably the chlorine.

The Holeys gave my daughter and nephew horrible blisters on the inside of their feet. I don't think they have overly wide feet, I think my nephews were pretty narrow actually, so not sure why it happened.
