Check this out here to see what happens when a toddler butters their own bread. You'll love it!

So cute! My older older two used to sneak bites of butter when they were small.

Awww! Cute.

My dd takes the same approach to snack making - the more butter the better. But she won't eat the butter and bread together - she has to scrape off the butter then eat the bread. Sigh.

Mine would have tossed the bread on the floor and eaten the butter straight out of the dish. Great pics!

Well, I say it's all excellent evidence of our bodies' need for butter. I've sometimes come to the kitchen to find big ole finger gouges in the butter.

My kids (9 and 3) and I love munching on good "snackin' butters". We've learned which ones are best on their own and which ones really need to be ON something, like bread.

Your daughter is adorable! Yay you, for letting her butter her own bread!

This is just like my dd. She would eat a stick a day if I let her.

Adorable!!!

I must say, I am a little jealous of that beautiful yellow butter . . .ours is sooo pale in comparison - all I have access to is organic supermarket butter. I bet yours tastes heavenly!

so cute! our girls are just a few days apart

My 6yo will still do stuff like that if I let him! The only reason I stop him is because he wont' finish it and I don't want him wasting good butter!

Hehe. I used to find teethmarks in the sticks of butter.

My DD would call that a "butter boat". Because, you know, the bread only carries the butter to her mouth. She, too, loves some bread with her butter.

She can come butter bread for me anytime!!!!

For sure a wonderful picture!! I read this thread and laughed a few days ago...and yesterday I found my 13 month old DD like this. I guess I had left the butter dish too close to the edge of the table, and she managed to reach up and scoop handfuls into her mouth.
