Belly Swelling :) - Page 2

I am so relieved to hear all of this! Only 6 weeks pg and some of my waistbands were starting to feel tight so I went to H&M and got a couple of elastic waist skirts.

I didn't believe it could be the pregnancy growing my belly at this early date, and thought I must just have gained a few pounds with all the Saltines I'm eating (and given my body's new way, since my son was born, of gaining weight in the belly instead of in the hips as I used to).

But you really think this could be uterus pooching me out this early? That would make me feel better, although I'm afraid people at work will be scoping my belly for 6 more weeks before I tell.

...that is, assuming no one checks my websurfing history and sees all the time I'm spending here

Nighten- your little bump is so cute! We should definitely get a belly pic thread going soon .

I have a much bigger tummy this time than I did with DS at this point. I still just look chubby though. Im ok with it for now b/c we are trying to wait another 6 weeks before telling anyone.

RunnerMommy: I hear you on the chubby. I am a small-framed person, but I never lost the baby gut from my last baby. I definetly won't be posting any belly pics for awhile. Right now, it's kind of depressing. I was going to lose the weight and try to tone before getting pg again... but once the baby bug bites... priorities kind of get out of whack. I figure I will just watch my weight gain better this time around and them lose it all next year... I hope.

Ha ha. That's what my belly looks like un-pregnant!

Seriously, I'm going to take care of myself properly, of course, but I am not anxious to gain weight and have to tell the people at work. I'm sort of scared because my mother gained sixty (yes, 60) pounds when she was pregnant with me and swears she didn't eat any junk. I really don't want stretch marks like hers!

But we definitely need a belly photo thread!

I'm wearing my stretchy pants today and will be finding my mat clothes later this evening so I don't have to walk around in pajamas. I'm only five and a half weeks, but ds is only 13 months old, so I'm using the excuse that my stomach didn't have much recovery time. I give it another two weeks before none of my pants fit at all.

..I had actually just started working out and lost ten pounds last month. Doh!

Okay, I take back the no-bump-thing. I just sprouted a bump, practically overnight the other day and it's apparently here to stay (for a while I hope!) My jeans are now officially Very Uncomfortable with a big funny flab hanging over the top. Lovely. So I've been opting for the elastic waistband and drawstring clothes instead. too bad I got rid of all of my maternity wear-- I thought I was all done with being pregnant.

I've definitely gotten a belly all of a sudden too. (EDD 2/10 based on LMP, probably more like 2/14 based on ovulation timing). I put a skirt on today and I could barely zip it.... guess I have to stick to the sundresses and my larger jeans until my MIL comes to visit with my SIL's hand-me-down maternity clothes.

It's really exciting but kind of annoying too, because it just looks like I have a fat belly instead of being obviously pregnant.

I changed my mind!

I want a little belly like nighten's!

I've been examining myself every day, and the only thing I can find is more fat around my upper-middle section. Strange things going on in there... But if I'm going to feel pregnant I want to look pregnant, too! Maybe taking some "before" pics would make me feel better...

Well, I'm going to be Oscar the Grouch and say that I DON'T have a belly- even if it looks like I do!: I'm bloated- a byproduct of pregnancy, and I know my uterus is still below my pubic bone, so it's not that! I do my best to suck it in and not consider it a belly- I don't believe that 'letting it hang out' counts- I know I don't truly show until about 5 months! Looong way to go for me!

Yeah, I have no baby belly, I'm just a fatty right now : I would love so much to be one of those women who gain only in the stomach and look fantastic, but apparently that'll have to wait until kid #4.

I just want you thin, great looking pregnant women to know, I don't like you very much

xoxoxo,

Waddles

wow...i really am different today. i definitely have a little bloat/bump...but this is my 3rd...so everyone warned me this would be this way.
A couple weeks ago, I thought I had a bump. But it was just bloating from severe constipation. So sexy. Yeah, that's me ... one little hotty.

ETA: Although I'm puffy enough so far that my uniform doesn't fit right. Gotta love that polyester! So unforgiving. I'm thinking of tactfully asking a bigger paramedic colleague if I can borrow a larger uni.

This is the time that I hate! I don't look pregnant, just look like I haven't been to the gym in a long time.

I had to go buy some tobacco for FIL yesterday. I kept confirming with DH that I looked FAT, not pregnant. I didn't want to hear the "you shouldn't be smoking when you're pregnant", because they weren't for me. You can tell them that all day, but they don't believe you.

I was SO glad to see all these posts! I'm 9 weeks today, and I swear I can't suck in my large gut any more!

This is my 6th pregnancy, but I have only one child. I'm thought I was "showing" much sooner than I should, but this thread has really helped me!

Yesterday we went swimming at a friend's house. I packed a pair of pants that were in the "early pg" stack from last time around. When I went to change clothes, I couldn't button the pants! I know for a fact I wore those longer than 7 weeks last time.

Belly's getting bigger.....
Mine's getting bigger. I can still wear my jeans, but I unbutton them often and some days I just go ahead and wear the elastic waist skirt or maternity jeans. 8 week belly
