what do you use to wash your body? - Page 2

I get all my soap from www.frostfishcovesoaps.com.

If you email Tory (the owner and artisan) and describe your skin problems to her, she can recommend one of her soaps for you.

I second this. I have not used from here before but am already in love with this site. I've bookmarked it and ordered a ton of samples already! Thanks!!!

I make handmade soap now, but used to just use loofah + water.

Honestly, I just use water. And no one has ever, ever told me that I stink or am dirty. It really works just fine. I don't think it is very healthy to strip your skin of its natural oils, and any cleanser is going to do that.

If I am a bit stinky I'll use a little diluted shampoo on a washcloth just for those parts. If I'm downright grimy I'll go ahead and use diluted shampoo on the rest of me, too.

I've been wondering the same thing... I had read something about using soap on newborns and how it strips the oils on their skin that helps keep them warm... so in the hospital I said I did not want soap used on her... just warm water. And now she's over two weeks old and I still have not used soap on her. She just gets bathed in warm water now. I was trying to figure out a good soap for her and for us as a family but I'm kind of thinking we could go without... I think though that I do need some kind of soap for parts of my body to make my skin softer in certain areas.

Right now we are using junky soap. I have some body scrub and i have baby burts bees body wash and shampoo for my two year old.

I use water and a washcloth for most of my body and use Chagrin Valley soap for any dirty/smelly areas. I love CV soap and recommend it.
