but now my dh has been tentatively dx'ed with Epilepsy.

This would explain so much.

But the way the "tentative" dxing neuro handled it was just so so so so poor.

Luckily (?) we have a friend who is a colleague of our ped epileptologist. My dh is seeing him on Monday.

I'm so sad for him. And so relieved.

Things have just not been going well here in gen'l. I could use some extra hugs.

I have finally accepted the fact that I have epilepsy brought on by a bleed in my brain, after three years of trying to deny it or word it a way that I was more comforable. It's a hard journey mentally, especially if you're an adult when you get diagnosed. Please pm me if you need to talk.

I have two kids with special needs, and I already had type I diabetes. But now I am uncovering that I too am having strange electrical activity (and periods of non-activity) in my brain that may be related to seizures. My neurologist has also been rather tentative, but I am seeing a seizure specialist in July (I had to ask my neurologist for the referral, but the neurologist said the seizure specialist might be able to get me more answers through a 72 hour EEG and so forth). On top of all that, I've never been neurotypical, exactly.

Anyway, I too am really relieved by having the start of some answers (I was coping with a lot of memory loss and unusual lack of common sense, etc....as well as inhibited ability to read and other odd stuff), but I also know that all our special needs are hard on my wife.

Man Sierra, your plate is really full. Epileptologist is totally the way to go.
