It was probably removed because it was confusing people, and it was pretty much worthless anyway. Since they've been working so hard to get the search database working again, it wouldn't make sense for them not to bring it back.

Which is why they need to redo all the search stuff to begin with- hopefully it will be back as good as ever when they're all finished with this.

As for removing the "new posts" button- I was actually going to suggest doing that, if it wasn't too much work for them. It's confusing to click on a worthless button, at least if it's not there I can't click on it accidentally!

i use the new posts button all the time. i am having withdrawals. i use the search to look up stuff so i dont( ususally) bother everybody with new posts that were already covered. help!!!! i am going crazy.

i hope it is fixed soon. i absolutely spend all of my online time here at mdc.

I noticed that I barely got any email updates so I came by to see if there was anything going on! Subbing for updates as well. I've come to depend on "new posts"!

ARRRRGH!!! Please!! I can't take it anymore!!! I NEED the new posts thingy!!! Otherwise I can't decide where to go...I want to read EVERYTHING and then I get nothing done!!! INFORMATION OVERLOAD!!!

me too! didn't realize how often i come here searching for answers until i couldn't do it anymore.

what's funny is that i NEVER use "new posts". just kinda browse around and peek in on the threads i seem to frequent. seems like everyone else uses "new posts". maybe i will too if it ever comes back.

hmmmm... last update said that they hoped it would be done by the weekend. The weekend is long gone....
