Sunscreen wipes?

I tried the Baby Blanket brand from BRU (because they had single packs and I wanted to try this method of applying sunscreen to DS. Not because I like that brand) and I found them way too messy to consider using them regularly. It was like someone put a paper towel in a ziploc bag, poured in a cup of lotion, and let it marinate.

Are other brands this messy? What about the packages of 10-15 wipes?

I guess, in my imagination, I thought they would be like disposable baby wipes.

I had to smile when I saw the typo in your title. My daughter calls sunburns "sun-screams" which I think is the funniest thing ever.

I haven't tried the wipes. I did just get the continuous spray which seems to work and is faster than putting it on five of us by hand. I hate that it's an aerosol though.

The Baby Blanket wipes have never worked for me-both of my daughters have had horrible stinging from them. I don't like how messy they are! I stick to Waterbabies spray lotion for their faces-it's the only thing that doesn't sting them. And Kids Continuous Spray for their bodies-that stuff is so convenient.

I try to avoid products that create so much post-consumer waste. I can't imagine what would make it worthwhile to me.

Bad spellers of the world...untie!!

I have the continuous spray from Aveeno, and I do like it. It is easy to apply, and after getting back from the shore last week, DS doesn't even have a hint of a tan.

I just thought the wipes would be a good thing to keep in the diaper bag. The package of Shady Day wipes comes with 15 in a package. Considering that I don't get 15 applications out of a bottle of sunscreen, they sound like a good idea.

Mine call sunscreen - "sunscream", so yeah. Time to put on the sunscream, and since it usually does involve whining, it's aptly named.

I agree; that was my thought too. Sounds like with these wipes your hands would get covered in lotion anyway, so why not just use your hand and a bottle of lotion, KWIM?

We use the sunblock stick from CA Baby. It goes on easily--I let DS play with the lid while I apply the stick. He tolerates it much more than wipes or goop.

I regret the waste we produce with the bottles-we go through so many of them year round.

I have that for DS's face, too. It was awesome at the beach - it never ran in his eyes, and even after splashing around in the water for a long time, I could still see it on his face.

Do you use it for your DC's entire body?

Arms/hands, legs/feet, face/neck/ears. If his torso is bare, I use the cream there, since he's pudgier and it's hard to spread a stick. I usually just make sure he's in a good shirt.
