how long is reheated breast milk good for?

How long is breastmilk good for at room temp after being taken out of the fridge and reheated? We are getting dh to give a bottle during the night occasionally and we would like to heat it up before we go to bed so it is ready to go (and so that our LO doesn't get into a screaming fit waiting for it to heat!)

I cross posted this in the breastfeeding forum and didn't get an answer...

Per Breastfeeding, A Guide for the Medical Profession by Ruth Lawrence, MD (p. 438):

Breastmilk can safely stand at room temperature for 6 to 8 hours and need not be discarded if the first feeding attempt is incomplete. In contrast, formula must be refrigerated and discarded after the first feeding attempt because it contains no antibodies or infection protection factors.

looks like you should be a-okay!

In keeping with the DDC Guidelines, I"m going to ask that you please answer over in breastfeeding. Cross-posting is fine in moderation, but we do ask that you link people to the thread that's in the proper forum. Thanks!
