Brain fog anyone?

I just forgot how to spell a common, every day word. I keep walking into rooms and not remembering what I went in there for. I check my clothing whenever I walk out the door because I'm afraid that maybe I've forgotten to put pants on or something Anyone else experiencing this lovely brain fog? It's like my brain went on vacation and left the rest of me at home...

I'm right there with you. Every single time I walk into another room to get something, I forget what it is when I get there. Is it hormonal or am I just massively distracted?

They say it's hormonal but you could also be distracted Fun times, huh?

The funny thing is, I do enjoy beign distracted from the mundane details of the day-to-day to focus more on the broader picture of my life. I don't think my DH and my coworkers enjoy it as much as I do, though.

I don't know...I can't remember.

Oh yeah, it's a pea-soup fog around here. It's partly my sheer exhaustion, too.

Yep. If I have to remember anything important I tell my partner he has to make sure I get it done.

i'm still not sure if it's the hormones, the fatigue, or the fact that i'm constantly distracted by baby thoughts, but its good to know that i'm not the only one who's suddenly absentminded and forgetful.

well just to give you a laugh, a few days after conception would have happened, i could not spell many everyday words and i tried desperately to concentrate and think about how they were spelt. i spelt park as palk and walk as wake.

it was very, very sad. i even said to a cashier "that's exactly right!" which made no sense.

I've been making tons of lists! Not sure if they really help, but it makes me feel better.... Anyone have any idea how I can focus at work? Its been really hard for me this week.

I'd been planning for about a week to go to Blockbuster and return the movies that are almost overdue. Yesterday I said to DH "Hey, I think I'll go to Blockbuster!" So I did. And I brought the movies-by-mail. But not the DVDs that are almost overdue.

This morning when leaving my apartment to go to work, as I always do, I reached into my bag to check to make sure I had my keys with me. The problem was that when I did this I was standing outside the already closed door (which latches automatically). I had the actions right, just not in the proper the order.

Oh well, that's what DHs are for!

This morning I found a can of tuna fish in my daughters pack and play.

(She was playing with it when we walked in the house yesterday afternoon. I plopped her down in the pnp while walking to and from the car bringing bags in. When I closed the front door I pulled her out to put her on the floor. 100% forgetting that she brought the tuna in with her.)

I forgot how to spell 'magic' yesterday. I could have swore it was 'majic'. I asked my dh if it was right and he just looked at me, and I couldn't figure out if he was looking at me b/c 'of course that's right - why do you even need to ask', or 'no, of course that's not right'. It was very sad.

This morning I snapped at my husband for putting the bathroom trash can in the living room, under the desk. He insists he didn't do it, but I don't know why I would have done such a thing, and I really don't believe that I did. Either I'm sleepwalking or we have ghosts...
