anywho it toots gas savings as a gas addative. i know lots aren't true so don't start on that. has anyone actually USED it (or friends etc)?
also i know paying for a product has to be considered into savings. so heres my assumptive savings on a 48 oz buy for my van with a 20% savings
19.2 MPG current
23 MPG w/ethos
gas is 3.75 here
1 oz ethos=$1.67/10 (1 oz per gal)=.17 cents ADDED per gal of gas= $3.92/gal
.195 per mile: reg cost
.170 per mile: ethos cost
at this point it saves me 2.5 cents per mile in gas. i drive approx 550 miles/mo which is just under $14 a month NET saved.
as well as the promo that any purchase of ethos gives a $25 gas certificate per $100 spent on gas...which basically equals $25 extra free gas/mo for me for 4 months (max per order).
i would only use 3 oz per month ethos plus it needs 4 oz in oil per change (?) so approx another 1 oz per month so 4 oz/mo would make a 48 ozs last a whole year (!!) ($100 free gas/12 months=$8.33/mo saved)
8.33+14=$22.33/mo saved
so $22 a month. worth it if it works? ideas, thoughts, etc?
