Cleaning floors

Thread Starter
Ok so I'm about to run out of my regular floor cleaner. I have Pergo type floors in my kitchen (what gets washed the most) and tile in my bathroom (which gets washed just as much). What do you use to clean your floors? Do you get down and scrub? Do you use a mop?
I've been using Swiffer but will no longer be using it. Since having my 2nd dd the smell gives me a headache.
So, please share what you use to clean your floors. I'm still in the beginning process of turning our home into a green home. Help me stock up! (I already have Dr. B's peppermint castile soap which smells divine, distilled white vinegar and bs).
Thank you!

I add a couple of squirts of Dr. B's into hot water to clean my floors. Nothing that I have tried works better.

I use this for cleaning EVERYTHING, including my wood floors. I LOVE it, it lasts forever.

I usually just use water. I have one of these mops:

I keep a spray bottle of water and just spray and then mop If there is a stain or something I may use a bit of vinegar and water, sometimes a splash of Dr Bronners, but not often!

We have bamboo and tile

I have all wood floors, and I use a spray bottle of vinegar/water with a microfiber mop like the one posted above (not that nice though!) I wet the m.f. cloth first, to make it easier. I don't mop often, maybe once a month? I vacuum almost daily & swiffer often.

You don't get a film at all? I have laminate wood flooring (like pergo) and use vinegar/water with a microfiber mop but our floors get super dirty (tons of dust outside that always gets in and a dog and the vinegar doesn't always cut it (I can still get dirty feet if I'm barefoot after washing) but whenever I use anything with soap it seems to leave a film or attract dirt even faster.

No film whatsoever, but bear in mind that I am using very little Dr. B's. just a squirt to a couple of gallons of water. I also wring out my Lipman mop to where it is just damp.
