Here is another question.... Anyone know why some Drs. give you clomid for CD 3-7 and other do CD 5-9???? What is up with that?? Mine script is 5-9. Anyone know the answer?? I had asked before, but didn't get any response so I figured I'd see if anyone else had info. TIA

It seems to me there isn't a right answer. I did 5-9 & that worked.

I've read 3-7 makes better quality follicles and 5-9 makes more follicles, and I've also heard it the other way around. For some REs, it depends on the day of the week the dr wants you to come in for ultrasounds.

Try one and if it doesn't work, try the other?

"tradition" apparently. My RE said that Femara trials were done with CD3-7 and Clomid trials were done with CD5-9 so that's normally how they prescribe them, but there's nothing particularly that says it has to be one way or the other.

I hadn't heard that before-- for what it's worth this is my first Clomid cycle and my RE has me taking it days 3-7 .

I was told to take it day 2-6 because on my own I ovulate really early. My RE didn't want my body to "start the process" before taking the Clomid which would happen if I did it day 5-9, so sometimes it depends on you and what you normally do on your own and how they are trying to improve that specifically. GL!

I did 5-9 also and it worked for me. Every one is differnt so the RE may have one person take it from days 3-7 and another from 5-9.
