Please don't move to dental, x-ray question

I hope you don't mind me posting this question here, but I feel like I've gotten to know y'all very well and value your opinions very much!

I was wondering about the effect of dental x-rays and novocaine. I really would not like to use either one but am afraid I will have to in the near future. I am EBF my 13 month old dd and do not want to have anything negatively affect her.

Of course nothing is always better but if you know anything else, please let me know.

don't know how helpful this will be...

i think you are looking more for data and the such, but i had 4 dental xrays when i was pregnant (before i knew) with dd and had a healthy pregnancy and she's now 25 months and is rarely sick (ebf) but i thought i'd throw in my 2 cents

On a related note, I have several cavities that need to be filled and a few amalgam fillings that need to be removed and replaced. I am nursing our 16 month old dd. We would like to plan a second pregnancy and I need to get this dental work done.

Is it safe to disturb amalgam while breastfeeding? Is it better to just get it out of my mouth before the second pregnancy?

We try so hard to be pure for our babies......hard decisions!
