I'm sure there are more creative uses, but I use Borax in the laundry (1/2 c with each load, then I soak for 30+ minutes before running the wash). It's great for stains. I also use it for cleaning bathrooms - in the toilet and shower for scrubbing.

Cleaning the toilet Dump some in,scrub it and let sit for 20-30 minutes. Then flush. Works great. I also add it to laundry occasionally.

Also sprinkle it on the carpets before vacuumingto kill flea larvae/ freshen. Just vacuum up after letting it sit for an overnight.

I couldn't manage without Borax. I only use it in the laundry, but it's definitely a necessity.

In my front-loader, I add 3/4 c. to tshirts and sheets. It keeps tshirts smelling fresh, and I've read that it kills dust mites in bedding.

It's an ingredient in the laundry soap I make.

All the houses in our neighborhood get sugar ants. I add a scoop to the mop water to keep them out.

I just steam cleaned my couch with water, vinegar and borax.

I use it to make laundry soap. But my favorite use is for cleaning my kitchen sink. The sink gets so shiny and it rinses clean.

I use it in the dishwasher with some baking soda. I made a huge batch and I have it under my sink in a plastic bin with a scoop. I can't remember the amounts because I made it a while ago, but just do a google search... Oh, and in loads of diapers...
