Another stimulus check question...

We got ours d.deposited last week and the paper came in the mail yesterday. We're $300 short, they didn't count one of our children. The paper says we have 1 qualified child, but I'm pretty sure both qualify. I tried calling the phone number, but no luck there.

What would you do? Try to get it figured out, or let it slide?

Were they both on your 2007 return? If so I might call but it should be coming to you next April if you don't get it this year.

You can claim a child on your return up to the age of (I think) 23. But if your child was 17 by December '07, you do not get credit on the stimulus check for them.

They are 4 and 2 now, were 4 and 2 at the end of 2007. So they aren't newbies and they aren't teenagers.

How will I get it back next year? The slip said the amount wouldn't impact next year's taxes. (please excuse me if I'm horribly ignorant...)
