Quick! Should I let her go???? - Page 2

I say if she wants to go-let her. You've instilled your family values in her. It sounds like she'll be safe and loved. My VERY fondest memories are of spending EVERY vacation with my grandparents. I used to go all by myself (on a plane)to my grandmother's in Fla for most of the summer. Of course she spoiled me rotten, smoked, did the charleston at 2am and was a bit eccentric....We can't control our children's path. She'll probably have a blast and then you'll have all summer to re-program her!!!lol ps i have never spent one night apart from dd (she's 5) so I can't imagine that part, I do know it'll all turn out exactly as it is meant to-it always does.

Three of my kids are going for a week with my parents in August (ages 3, 5, and 8). This will be my 3 yo first trip, but I am confident that she will be fine with her brother and sister. We will join them at the end of the week. My parents are very respectful of my parenting though. We see them a lot, and they know how I feel about media, food, etc. Every situation is different. I'm sure some here will be shocked that I'd let my 3 year old go. Trust your heart.

quick update: we decided to let her go... then some friends of ours inivited our family to their sweet beach house for the weekend of the 4th-they have twin girls a little older who she loves! If she went with her grandparents this weekend it would just be too much to turn around and make the drive again so we are taking a pass on the grandparent trip and planning a fun weekend together. It all worked out and she still gets to play at the beach (with mom, dad and brother!) I'll have to have the cousins over for a sleepover so they can make up for any bonding they miss. Thanks for all your responses!

bonus: ds has stopped pukin!

I am so glad everything turned out just as it was supposed to. Isn't life like that? Best, Hali
