Our second little girl is here...

Hi all,
I haven't posted much but love reading! Wanted to update and share our joy. We had a little baby girl on Wed. June 18th, born at home, 9 pounds, 22 inches. Labor was short mostly ~4hrs active, 1hr pushing though! Very very intense....We are all doing well and loving our new little bundle. Big sister is so smitten and we're having a tough time helping her control her enthusiasm Fun, fun, fun!
Congrats to all the new mommas and for those still waiting: hang in there...they're SO worth the wait!!!!!!!

Congrats! And, we so KWYM!! Omigosh, our 3 year old is completely smothering. Wanting to hug and kiss the baby ALL OF THE TIME! Our rule is she's not allowed to touch her when she's nursing or sleeping. It's hard, though!!

Congrats!! Sounds like everything went really well. I know what you mean about the older sibling being excited - James wants to touch Claire all the time. We have had a few minor tantrums over it at this point - we're doing our best to try and find ways we can say "yes" to him instead of "no".

Ditto to all: big congratulations on your new addition, and KWYM about the over-zealous three-year-old. Jonah thinks he's being gentle but often he's not, and he gets extremely annoyed when we say no to touching or kissing while Daniel is sleeping. He also resents having to wash his hands before touching him....

Yea, the three year old thing is happening here too. DD is so IN LOVE, its like Christmas times 100 for her. She calls herself his "other mom". Luckily he doesn't seem to mind the smothering and actually can sleep through it.
