Wow - everything happened too quickly! At 2:30 am on Saturday morning, ctx started coming - 2 minutes apart and 50 seconds long! By the time we made it to the hospital, I was 6 cm; an hour later I was 8 1/2 cm and felt uncontrollably like pushing...the midwife arrived just 15 minutes before the baby was born, at 5:41am. His face was horribly bruised and swollen from pushing past a cervix that hadn't completely dilated, but he's healthy and sweeter than I ever imagined.
Milo Weaver H. (family names for us)
10 lbs 7 oz
21 1/4 inches
my second VBAC - first unmedicated birth (yea, Hypnobabies!)
He came so quickly that the nurses aides were trying to get me to sign admission papers and set me up with an IV access (VBAC protocol) AS I was pushing him out.
