**July No-Spend Challenge** - It's the last week of July! Finish strong!! - Page 6

post #101 of 662
I know I won't get on here everyday.

But I did fine yesterday and the day before.

I am amending my goals. There is no way I will be able to only eat out once a week right now. I am way too stressed and time challenged.

But I will stick with the rest of the plan.

Even the other goals will make a difference.

Two days I have done just great. :

It's okay! Remember, this is about progress not perfection! You can do it

This is my first time. I'm currently a SAHM to DS. This is our first month where I'm not getting a stipend and so we've had to cut back our expenses by $1200. It's a little scary to even think about. However, we have enough to pay our bills and live reasonably even with the cutback so I know we really are in an okay spot. It actually makes me mad I haven't been more frugal in the past! Here's what I have so far, but I'm sure I'll be adding to it:

Goals:
Food: $0/$300 (I tend to overspend here but I have very well stocked freezer and cupboards so most of it is for fresh food such as raw dairy, eggs and produce)

No spend days: 1/16 (so far so good!

Filling gas tank (my car): 0/2

I'll be back

July
1~ NO spend!
post #109 of 662
01.. $7.50 ECHO museum pass :
02.. $31 white noise machine, ice cream
03..
04..
05..

My goals:

0/20 No Spend Days
0/6 Let the car rest days
1/25 Use a pass that we have already paid for :
(gym, museum, farm, community pool, beach)

~~~~
Month not starting out stellar...but that is okay.
I had a super-no-spendy month last month and the white noise machine was something I put off buying for over twenty days...and my toddler still maintains that she desperately needs it to fall asleep. If she has kept it in her mind that long, then I'm splurging. (The new baby now has the old white noise machine)...and I had to upgrade our museum pass because someone in our family had a birthday and now has to pay for her admission.
I know, I know...I'm making excuses for spending...but at least it wasn't SHOPPING (my nemesis) and these were planned expenses, albeit not necessary.
Officially BACK on the wagon. Help me stay up here, Frugalistas!
What kind of white noise machine is it? My 3.5 yo has a terrible time going to sleep! I'm going to try some soothing sounds on the alarm clock in his room, but I'd like to know what the next step may be.
