Arghhhh...really need to revisit the food budget. Think about increasing it each month, but then I tell myself it really is doable if I just cut out a few takeout/restaurant trips + some of the processed snacks.

Yesterday I packed snacks, but forgot water. DD was really thirsty, but thought she could wait until home. Then she was dizzy, and fearing dehydration, I pulled into a Dunkin' Donuts for bottles of water (and found it impossible to get out without a few muffins).

Today, should have made time to prep dinner. Instead, spent a frustrating afternoon at LL Bean alternately chasing the kids and trying to find a red shirt with my coupon (photog for an afternoon shoot to accompany an article about my business requested a red shirt, which I did not possess). Ending up calling for pizza before running out the door.

Tomorrow is another day, but it is also a day we will be celebrating my grandmother's 98th b-day at a restaurant, though I will probably "cheat" and classify our meals under the gift budget. The following night we are having dinner with friends, which will likely be takeout split. Next day, we leave on a camping trip, and have to stock up on camping food.

Okay, it appears all of our activities this week focus around food. Ugh!

I am right there with you. We really don't eat out at all during the week. The weekend rolls around and we have plans with friends and that all goes out the window. Sounds like camping will be a good reminder that you don't need take-out
