I'm not there, but I have a friend who was in Sebastapol but is now in Cotati. When I'm there I'm so jealous because it seems like she belongs to a hundred mommy groups all various degrees of crunchy! I don't think you'll have trouble. Maybe do searches for mommy groups in the Sonoma County area. I love that area.

well the one house we looked at we decided we didn't want to live in and have broadened our search to include more towns. i have always loved sebastopol and wanted to live there since i was a kid but maybe it is not in the cards for us. we are still looking though.

Not in Sebastopol, but we visit a few times a year for a weekend or holiday (not far from the Bay Area) and stay at the Sebastopol Inn and use that as a base to do other things in the area and see the country side. We love how friendly that area is. We have fantasies of moving there, but employment would be an issue for me (DP is a business owner)

Sebastopol is lovely! You just feel the crunch when you are there! We lived just a few miles outside it until December. I miss Sebastopol a lot. Great city, you can't go wrong if you are looking for a sweet little hippie town!

They have a great Farmer's Market on Sundays, a wonderful vegetarian restaurant called Slice of Life (even if you aren't veg you will LOVE IT!), the super park is great for kids, lots of little festivals and cool shops. They also have a Whole Foods.
Its close to the ocean/beach, its close enough to drive to SF, lots of entertainment!

sebastopol sounds so great but it looks like it is to far for us now. dp got promoted which is great but he needs to spend a few days a week at the office and sebastopol is kinda far for that plus dp wants to be closer to the water. we may have found a nice place in bolinas. bolinas seems less kid friendly but very crunchy.
