Covers for Klean Kanteens

Hi all! I just got some Klean Kanteens for my family and would like some covers for them. Has anyone made any? Could you help me with directions, material used, and any other hints.
Thanks!

I tried knitting them, but found much more success with baby socks. They fit, are snug, stay on, and can be thrown in the wash. Works great for us, because we had some strays.

There was a lady on the Wool Soaker Yahoo group that posted a pattern for a knit one that looked pretty neat.
