What is your baby's name going to be? - Page 3

Boy: Alfred Tien
Girl: Ruby Vy

our DS is Samuel Thanh. I'm vietnamese so all the middle names are Viet. FWIW our son refers to himself as "Thanh" instead of Samuel (Samuel is his *other* name if pressed), so once he starts school it'll be interesting what he chooses to be called.

But I'm starting to get concerned that it's too girly. I really love River, Cort, and Charlie, but DH has nixed all three. Bad thing is I'm very convinced this is a boy.
I'm way late to this but I obviously I love one of your boys names, had it picked out since we found out this baby was a boy DH sprung on me recently that he is't feeling it anymore *sigh* we'll see about that...

Fynnaghan Carter Toby T------ (think Irish all the way). Fynn because we just like it, Carter for my grandfathers last name, Toby for DH's grandfather's Nick Name

4 weeks from due date & still no names! Not even a list of final choices! Nada!

I just love the names here!

The name we're using for our daughter is Jovielle Helena, we'll probably call her Jovie.

Of course, if you frequent the "I'm Pregnant" forums you might have seen the big thread about it lol My oldest son doesn't really like it

Its great to see such diversity in names, there's some great names here. I wish I was having more than one, I love naming babies

William Paul --- and we're calling him Wip. It suits our family better.

I have to say that we are still completely undecided. We have been soooo busy with other things in our life (I know really sad ) that dh and I haven't had a chance to really nail anything down.

Girl names thrown out there:
Zoe
Elizabeth
Violet
Zola
Heather

Middle name will be Grace (my grandma)

Boys names thrown out there:
Heath
Keegan
Dillan

?? middle name. Maybe Allen (my dad's middle name) or Carl (my grandpa)

We are still looking up names and meanings...This baby may very well be a few days (or weeks) old before we decide for sure.

We are still undecided also. Most of the names I've suggested get shot down. We've got 2 names on the list, Rowan and Soren. I would be happy with either of them, but prefer Soren. DH isn't in love with either of them, but hasn't totally shot them down. If everything goes smoothly, we still have until the end of August to decide so I'm not feeling too much pressure yet.

There's nothing strange about that. DH and I have picked what we think is a beautiful name for our girl, and it has been kept so secret from friends and relatives that I would feel strange posting it myself. To me, I feel like I have a secret conversation with our baby when we use her name and it will truly be an announcement when she's born.

Of course, what if the ultrasound was wrong and we're carrying a boy? I love the name Isaac.

Our little man will be Elias Rhys Dh had the name Elias come to him in a dream and I have this weird "R" middle name thing going, so that was that! It's strange though, I feel this pull towards the name Gabriel, not sure why, just seem to end up on it a lot...

Nothin' yet! We keep starting these conversations where he shoots down every name I have and I HATE almost every name he suggests. Honestly though, the problem is that I can't seem to find a name I love. I had a girl name all picked out if ds#2 was a girl, but now I don't like it as well : We still *hopefully* have at least 5 more weeks.

This is our story, too.

Our boy name is Oscar -insert middle name- (after my Grandfather) and we have zero girl names that we agree upon...

Bria Lorraine
or
Bella Christine
or
Becka Lorraine

(Lorriane is a family name on DH's side)

Any opinions? Nothing is grabbing me. First name has to start with B - didn't mean to do it but I am stuck there now =)

If it's a boy Iver August (Iver is pronounced the Scandinavian way: ee-ver)
we don't have a girl name yet but we're tossing around Allegra/Alegra Linn (Scandinavian spelling of my mother's name, Lynne.)

Dh isn't overly excited about Allegra so we'll see! I think it's works fantastically with our last name...Plenty of time yet, right?

So, in a way I'm fortunate / unfortunate. I'm going to be a single mom, as long as the IUI works the week. Fortunate in that I don't have to have anyone agree with my choice of name. Unfortunate in that there is no one to stop me from a really really awful name.

Right now I'm thinking for the following:
Girls (first names):
Josephine (for my Grandpa)
Elizabeth
Magdalena (pronounced: mag-da-Leena)
Sofia
Arianne
Ekaterina (e-kat-er-Reena)

Boys:
Edmund (Dad's side family name: his older brother, father, grandfather, two nephews)
Joseph (my Grandpa (mom's side))
William
Dmitri
Constantine (probably middle name)
Xavier

Can we tell I like traditional names? I'm still figuring it out.

I'll probably start to narrow it down when I find out what I'm having. Yep. I want no surprises.

I also figure I'll know when I meet him / her for the first time.
