Raglan increases

I finally decided to do my first adult top (February Lady Sweater for the curious) and am just about done with my increases/shaping. I can't see the increases. I've looked at all the ones on Ravelry and you can see the lines made by the increasing. I sort of like the look. I firgure it's because my yarn is black (shoot me now...what was I thinking wanting over 200 stitches in black!) and I'm doing kf&b. Is that ok or am I doing something wrong? Everything I have ever seen that has raglan shaping has distinct lines where the increases were put. Come to think of it though I haven't seen many black raglan tops.....hmmm....

I'm doing this one too! I think that your lack of lines is probably because of the black. I'm doing kfb increases too, and when I look at mine I can see the line, but only because I can see the shifting of the stitches around the line. I think in a darker color that shifting would be obscured.

Yeah, I think it's probably the black too. Everything looks different in black to me.

I figured as much. When I look at it with some light behind it I can see more of the lines.

How far are you into yours? I'm about 5 increase sets away from being done with that part. I am so wishing it would go faster.

Oh, I know--those increases seem to take forever, especially in garter stitch. which I really don't like to knit because it's so boring. But I'm ready to divide for the sleeves now, so at least there's a pattern to make it more interesting.

I think its the black. I cast on for labyrinth in black alpaca, and ended up frogging in disgust. I'm currently knitting a garter stitch stole with the yarn instead.

I can't wait to see your finished product. That is an awesome sweater. A HUGE hit on ravelry.

It is on my needles next!
