Fenugreek while pregnant?

Does anyone know if it's okay to take fenugreek or goats rue (both?!) while pregnant? I found out I'm pregnant with #4 and am still nursing a 9 month old. My supply is already low and now it's pitiful. I really don't want to stop nursing so soon!

Thank you both. I read that alfalfa is safe so that's what I will try.

I would recommend steel cut oatmeal. There's a really good cookies recipe out there for it, too! It's not the most effective method, but it's one of the safest.

If nipple pain is not an issue.... nursing your baby more and lots of skin to skin. This is the most basic "increase your supply" advice, so you have probably already thought of it. Good luck....I know sometimes this can be an uphill battle.

I appreciate the replies. So far, no nipple pain at all. In fact, other than fatigue and some...and I mean very little...nausea in the evening. Kinda has me worried. Maybe I'm just lucky this time around.

Fenugreek can cause miscarriage.

Alfalfa worked well for me. I kept milk until 22 weeks when it changed to colostrum. I was never dry. GL, I know how hard it is.
