Am I the only one that is STARVING!!!

I will say that for the first 20 weeks of pregnancy I was pretty sick... I could not look at most of the foods that I normally would eat. I don't think I ate a vegetable in fact... Sad but true. I gained no weight until my 17 week appt and ended up gaining 2lbs from the previous appt and that was with me trying really hard to make sure I got a decent number of calories everyday.

Last week my appt was cancelled so I hadn't been to the office in 5 weeks. I stepped on the scale and almost fell over lol... I have gained 8 lbs in 5 weeks!!! Granted I've only gained 10 lbs the whole pregnancy I just can't imagine what I will look like if I continue to gain 8 lbs each appt.

The thing is that now I'm starving, for the last two - three weeks, since I've been able to keep food down I just want to eat. I'm eating pretty well. I swear I can eat 5 apples or nectarines a day PLUS meals and snacks but I never really feel satisfied. Is anyone else out there starving.

No you aren't the only one, I constantly feel like I'm starving. I can even eat a relatively big meal and 2 hours later (sometimes less!) I'm starving again! I swear I get really burned out just eating all the time....especially if there aren't any appetizing foods around. I had a hard 1st trimester (and part of this one too!) with vomiting and keeping stuff down...I guess my body is caching up now. I can easily eat a 1/2 gallon (no I'm not kidding) of cottage cheese in a day...a pint or a quart may last half a day.

Well I wouldn't worry about weight gain mama. And if you are hungry, that is your body telling you that it needs food, so try to eat lots of good, nutritious food when you are hungry, fruits, veggies, lean meats, nuts, etc. At 25 weeks I have gained 25 pounds. I was having a really hard time with it, accepting it, but I know I am eating what I should be and listening to my body and I feel much better about gaining a little more weight this time around than coming up soooo short like last time and having a premature birth...

I'm starving too. I can't go more than 3 hours without eating, even at night. It's really annoying.

Oh man I feel like I'm starving too. People keep telling me to just eat when I get hungry, but we'd have no food left if I did! I made a HUGE pot of spghetti night before last and I swear I ate about 6 bowls! And I wanted MORE!! Now I know I don't need that much food, lol. We've bought 5 bags of grapes in the last week (for my son to snack on) and I've pretty much demolished them all. I eat pretty healthy, but god, I know this much food isn't good, lol. I can easily eat triple the recommended caloric intake for a pregnant woman and I just won't do it anymore. I'm so freaked out about gaining as much weight as I did last time (60+lbs) and I'm doing all I can within my power to keep it at or below 35lbs.

I can't go more than 3 hours without eating when I'm not pregnant.

Last pregnancy I was starving, second breakfasts, second lunches, waking up to eat. This time I'm actually not that hungry but I'm still eating about as much and gaining the same amount... I'm just trying to enjoy it--food tastes so danged GOOD when you're pregnant!

I am always hungry! I eat too!
I still have not gained any weight. I lost 15 pounds to start. I am sure it is waiting to attack when I least expect!

Sometimes I am ravenous, sometimes I barely have an appetite.

I was starving around 15-18 weeks, and now I find I have to force myself to eat-but I'm usually hungry once I get eating. It's like the signal to my brain that I'm hungry doesn't work anymore...

Yeah that!

Dude, there are all new smilies, and no more Yeah That guy. Disappointing.

Anyways, yes, some days I'm famished and I can't get enough to eat. Other days, I don't even feel like eating and I need to force stuff down.
