i know there was a thread about this a while back, but...

i will be 4 weeks pp tomorrow a few days ago i went from no bleeding at all to bleeding like i was a few days after birth, complete with clots and everything, which sort of freaks me out... so, normal? or should i call my mw?

i called mty mw and told her exactly what has been happening and while she its unusual, she didnt seem too worried. shie told me to wait a few days and if i need to to come in on monday.

she said its possible that there is just a little part of my uterus that hasn't healed yet...

I'm glad you called. Are you comfortable with her assessment? I hope things resolve. In the meantime, are you taking it a bit easier and not doing a lot of physical stuff?

i am glad i called... it seems to be letting up some, so thats good- if its not practically all gone by monday i'll go see her

Glad it's letting up. I had bleeding for longer than I expected with this one. I'm 4weeks pp and have stopped now.

The same thing happened to me. My mw wasn't worried as long as the clots were smaller than my fist, which they were, but barely. Then by 5 weeks, I had completely stopped bleeding. Now at almost 8, I just started again. I'm wondering though if I'm just starting to cycle again. I started early after my other kids too, but not this early! My mw also said she's delivered many a baby whose mamas were exclusively bf'ing when they got pregnant ;-)

with my first--I bled 6 weeks--and then started my period at 8 weeks....very possible!
