reuse a trampoline pad...

We got a trampoline for Christmas and it had a defective pad. I replaced it today and now I am wondering what I could use the old pad for. It is about 12 feet wide and has metal triangular rings going all the way around. I have an industrial sewing machine and some skilz so I could cut it and re make it into something. Anyone have a great idea??:

Subbing! We disassembled our trampoline last year and I haven't been able to part with it yet. I have considered building an frame and using it as a shade screen. Sort of like an inverted trampoline.
