opt testing procedure

one thing i wonder: i read just the other day that when i do my opt, i should pee in a cup (i can't pee on the thing) and submerge half the stick..well, i was submerging the WHOLE stick...i wonder if that makes a difference ...

does anyone know if that could affect your result...

some sticks have a little line to show you where to stop immersion... the internet cheapies.

overthecounter opk's don't, so you just dip the wick and wait for the alloted seconds (some 5, some 20, depends on what the directions say).

if you put too puch pee in the test, i imagine it would saturate the result area, making it harder to read, and opk's are already hard to read sometimes. so, don't use too much pee and you should get an accurate result.

the dollar tree tests have a little syringe with which to draw pee up, and then you just put a certain # of drops in the test, and thats nice because then you know you used the correct amount.

best wishes to you.

this is really strange...

the leaflet says all of the tip in one place

then immerse the tip halfway in another place

on the same leaflet

i wonder if it matters...

i can read the result just fine..

Using more won't change the test results, it just can saturate the stick enough that a faint line is hard to read. I've never had a problem reading a strong positive when it's over-saturated, though.
