I want to move to Canada!

That is great! I'd love to see signs on all restaurants. It would definitely spark some conversation, too.

I live in Toronto and breastfeed in restaurants all the time, I did tonight! I have never once been bothered actually this evening while I was feeding DS the waiter was talking to me and asking how old he was and was being totally natural with it and I am not that discrete

I think the stickers will really help new mom's feel more comfortable. I also heard on the news that the city wanted new mom's to be given (by Dr.s and midwives?) packets on NIP their rights, how to handle harassments and confrontation should it happen, etc. :

I love my Country I think even if people had a problem with NIP most wouldn't say anything anyways, It's just not Canadian

We live in Toronto. When I told DH about the campaign, he said, "well, they should make all restaurants display that sign!"

i lived in Toronto for 7 years. the first time i nursed dd in public we were at a restaurant. dd was 6 weeks old, another couple came in with there four week old and we were both nursing our babes. the male waiter thought it was the coolest thing that he got to wait on two nursing mothers at once. he wasn't creepy about it either. i've never had issues in Toronto with nursing in public, or here in Alberta for that matter. i've gotten a number of positive comments from people too.

Toronto Public Health does a really great job of supporting and promoting all sorts of great parenting practices (e.g. tips on safe co-sleeping distributed in packages given to new moms, free visits from Public Health nurses to help with breastfeeding, access to free lactation clinics, parenting drop-in centres with focus on GD, easy access to counseling for PPD, etc.)

I'm not from here originally, so I didn't know exactly what to expect, but in my experience, Toronto is a really good place to have a baby.
