So I have a pair of Keen shoes that are so comfortable and good for my feet. But lordy b'gordy, they get all kinds of STANKY sometimes. (DH has the same issue with his Keens.) I was so frustrated because I love the shoes and they're not very old. So the other night, I put about a tablespoon of baking soda in each shoe, shook it around to distribute it really well, and left them overnight. The next morning, I shook out all the baking soda and wiped them out with a dry towel.
Eight hours of wear later, no stank! I even lifted the shoe to my nose and sniffed closely--there was no smell at all. I'm sure I'll have to reapply the BS now and again, but I had to share with you guys.
