At 10:30 last night I told the LO - just give me 24 more hrs. See, dh left at 9 pm to take dd1 to the ER b/c of seizures all day. But there's nothing you can do to change a baby's mind once they've decided to be born
Little Phineas arrived at 6:40 am - our first uc and waterbirth
Poor dh got home past 1 am. I was up at 4 am, tried to hold off waking him as long as possible which was 5 am
. A little while later, little Phineas was born. All in all 2 hr. 40 min. of birthing but I am so tired. We are just beat after dealing with stuff yesterday, not sleeping, and then the little booger decided he just had to come out.
We're napping. I'll post pics later. He's a sweetie. I'm dying to know how much he weighs! He looks so tiny.

Dh asked me where I thought I was going to hang them, lol
Not much to add to the birth story. It was very calm. It happened fairly quickly which is pretty normal it seems for me. I think I gave little pushes w/every contraction. When I really started pushing I felt my unbroken waters - that was a first. Those sacs are tough! It broke, the head came down and out quickly. Then the ctx stopped! Usually it's almost one motion for me but this time his little head just hung out while I waited for another ctx. I said those classic words "Just pull him out!" Dh didn't of course
With the next ctx he shot into the water like a torpedo - no one caught but I got to pick him up out of the water. He was very cheesey - another first for our babes. Vernix was literally floating in the pool. He barely sputtered and then went back to sleep
It was nice that it was just us - it felt very simple and normal if that makes sense.
