How are your tears and grazes?

Hi mamas
I got a third degree tear at dd's birth plus a nasty graze by my urethra that was super painful. About a week ago, I thought everything had finally healed but the last few days, my tear has "opened" at the fourchette and peeing has gone back to feeling like passing broken glass.
Another weird thing has happened which is that when I wipe after peeing, I am seeing small pieces of the suture material. Thing is, I had a bladder injury after DS2 (who is 2yrs 5mo) which was sewn up and I am wondering whether the thread is actually from that hence the pain peeing or whether it's from the tear this time.
Does any of this sound familiar to those of you who had a tear? Are you still feeling it?
Thanks!

Your situation does not match up w/mine.

At almost 7 wks, my mw looked and they were all healed (2 small labial splits, one 2nd deg at perineum). The 2nd deg still bugs me a little (sometimes feels as if my pubic hairs are being tugged is the best way I can describe it). MW said it's probably nerve damage, as that can take longer to heal. She recommended kegels to increase blood flow and speed healing.

I'm sorry you're still having so much pain .

Do you know about our new home? You'll probably get more responses over there.

I had a pretty nasty tear after a breech HBAC. DD got stuck and my MW finally went in after her when her leg turned blue and tore me pretty bad in the process.

Anyway, sorry for all the details...I don't know what "degree" tear I had, but it went all the way back to my rectum. It was healed by week 4. I have had no trouble with it at all (much to my surprise).

Big Hugs to you....hope you're feeling better soon. I would definately have an OB that is experienced in surgical perineal repair take a look to see if you need some more medical attention down there.
