I'm at my wits end, I really am...
I am 26 weeks pregnant and we've had our fair share of nursing hurdles to overcome since the beginning - DD is 17 months. Since I've been pregnant we can add my general sensitivity and loss of supply to those. DD has always bitten regularly, we've done EVERYTHING I could read/suggested by other moms to curb it but now I'm pretty positive that we've probably had bad latch issues from day 1. My supply is so low that DD is, for the most part, dry nursing which adds to my nipple sensitivity for sure.
I noticed this morning after gritting my teeth through a few nursing sessions, that her tongue no longer covers her bottom teeth when she's nursing which I assume is causing my pain and is probably what has impacted my supply...I've spent the morning searching kellymom and LLL for suggestions but they're all for young infants with latch problems or biting as a result of boredom, distraction, position etc.
Is there ANYTHING I can do at this point? Neither one of us is anywhere near close to wanting to wean but I'm finding myself dreading her asking for 'muk' and keeping her busy and distracted so she doesn't ask as often - this is not how I envisioned this as all...I want our bonding time back...and without excruciating pain and these feelings of resentment...
