Looking for Ped or Family Dr in Ann Arbor

I'm looking for an open minded Pediatrician or Family Doctor in the Ann Arbor area. Someone who supports extended breastfeeding, altered (or no) vaccination schedules is what we're looking for. Ideally they'd not attack over the issue of baby being born at home. I know this is a long shot, but if any of you know of a wonderful supportive doctor, please give me some names

Both of those practices support homebirth and do homevisits for homebirthed babies.

We really like Liberty Peds, but it is a trial to get an open slot in the practice. Call on the first day of the month (luckily that's just two days from now) at eight a.m. Redial. Redial. Redial. Some months they've given away their open spots by 8:05 (which was our position last August when we got the last spots).

I just had my first visit with Liberty. Funny, I called, they answered right away, and I got an appt for my 2 girls as new patients with no problems. I wonder if it was the first day of the month when I called?

I just moved here and someone recommended Dr. Michelle Rabideau of Dexter Family Practice to me. I've met her just once but she was great. She breastfed at least one of her kids to 2.5 and seems very supportive of BF in general, she also was totally non-judgmental of the fact that my kid is not vaxed. She also didn't act like i was on mars when i told her i am considering home birth...

When we lived in Ann Arbor, we used Dr. Malcolm Sickels.

Personally, I am a pretty big fan of Dr. Steven Thiry at Ann Arbor Family Practice on Liberty by the Liberty Club. I went to him after our homebirth with bf'ing issues/mastitis and he was very supportive of our situation. We talked about a lot of things--including vaxing and I felt surprisingly comfortable with him--like I really never feel with Western doctors...it was a real shame that we had to move out of the area very soon thereafter Not sure about the other doctors in the practice. I do know of an outstanding chiro & cranial-sacral therapist if you need either of those (feel free to pm me).
