DS is 4.5 months old. His two bottom teeth showed up about a month ago and they are now probably 2 millimeters high. In the last week I've been experiencing major pain sometimes toward the end of a feeding.I thought I'd read (on kellymom?) that bottom teeth might sometimes rub or cause indentations but I haven't been able to find it again. I check every time after he nurses to see if there are indentations from his lower teeth but I can't tell for sure. Although at the beginning I thought I saw them. Its hard to check cause he wants to keep sucking and I am reluctant to interupt him before he is done/asleep. His latch still seems fine, but the fact that its happenning toward the end of the feeding makes me think he is getting too relaxed about the whole thing. Maybe his tongue is no longer over his teeth?
Do other women have trouble with lower teeth hurting them?
How can I encourage him to keep his tongue over his teeth?
Any other ideas?
TIA!!!
Oh, and he still clicks now and then, always has, but its been less and less often. Otherwise my nipples have been pain free for months. This is a sharp pain, and it does seem to be coming from the bottom of my nipple (where his teeth are) but I can't be sure.
